Relaxation Massage

Massage therapy that focuses on providing general relaxation, relieving muscle tension and improving blood circulation.

Relaxation massage is performed by gently massaging the skin with the therapist's hands, along the muscle contours of the body. Actions of gentle kneading and long smooth strokes in rhythmic movements to relax and soothe the muscles and nerves.

In a typical session, the pressure should be mild to medium, (3-5 on a scale of 1-10), so that the client doesn’t feel pain during the course of the treatment. The gentle nature of the strokes on the body's soft tissues makes this massage a soothing experience that aims for a calming impact on the neurological system, calming down the parasympathetic nervous system which reduces stress and pain to encourage the body to recuperate faster.

This can be a partial or full body treatment.
